The Oodua Progressive Union USA (OPU-USA) proudly announces its First International Humanitarian Conference, a landmark global summit titled “The Voice of Heritage: OPU-USA @ 2025.” Scheduled for August 7–8, 2025, this extraordinary event will unite over 5,000 Yoruba sons and daughters from across the world onsite and virtually for two days of cultural exchange, empowerment, and global solidarity.
This event will serve as a vibrant showcase of Yoruba heritage, highlighting the importance of cultural preservation and sustainability in diaspora communities. Attendees will engage in enriching discussions, performances, and exhibitions while reaffirming their connection to shared values and ancestral pride.
The conference will be livestreamed on the Voice of Heritage: OPU-USA YouTube channel and key social media platforms to ensure global access and participation.

Under the central theme “Cultural Sustainability and the Future of Traditions in Diaspora – Facing the Future Together,” the summit will feature:

A major highlight will be the keynote address by Iba Gani Abiodun Ige Adams, the 15th Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, Global Convener of OPU Worldwide, and Chief Promoter of the Olokun Festival Foundation.
